Robot Engineer
Job description
Robot engineer with experience in industrial automation required to design and programme robotics interfacing with PLC and SCADA control systems.
You will work with Functional Design Specifications (FDS) to provide complete control solutions.
As well as working in a purely technical function, you will also act in a customer-facing role, giving advice to clients.
As a Robot Engineer you will require at least one year?s commercial experience in industrial automation.
Requirements:
HNC/HND in an applicable discipline (electrical/electronic engineering) as a minimum qualification.
BEng or equivalent degree is desirable.
You will also have proven experience in the programming of one or more robot systems (e.g. ABB S3 / S4, Kuka, Motorman and GE Fanuc).
You should be willing to travel frequently, work irregular hours where necessary, and carry out work for customers at home and abroad.
There is a high degree of autonomy in the role, so accountability and a sense of responsibility are important.
You will have excellent communication and customer facing skills.
Furthermore, you are in possession of a VCA certificate.
